Finally a simple photo viewer that allows quick full screen viewing with the ability to zoom and random slideshow. Just drop one pic from a folder and view the entire folder! Drop a whole folder and view all of it and its sub folders! Open aperture or iphoto libraries after clicking “show contents of package” in finder… limitation: only get originals (masters) or existing previews… if previews have not been processed by Aperture or iPhoto prior to browsing, the aperture or iPhoto modified pix will not be viewable. I have had it only a few hours, but it has performed flawlessly. Two bucks very well spent!

The user longing for FastStone would do well to look into XnViewMP, as would anyone wishing to play with lots of images but avoid LightRoom’s price tag and iPhoto’s weird interface and lack of features. Being a huge fan of XnView, I came here looking for a slideshow app, since the Mac version strangely lacks the slideshow features of its superior and much older Windows counterpart. Sadly, the slideshow feature here is pretty minimal. You’ll need another app to move images between folders, there’s no clear way of selecting some but not others within a folder, and the slideshow offers no transitions or even cropping to fit the screen. The only nice feature here is the option to include every subfolder of the one chosen. You will still need to make a custom folder or set of folders just for this app unless you want to look at a lot of grey bars on the sides of your screen Two bonus stars because the app basically works as advertised. One quarter point off, though, for no apparent options to rebind hotkeys. Friendly reminder that this is an accessibility feature.

Much better than original Mac image viewer/browser. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using the app for about 6 months, and so far so good. Rather handy in terms of slide show. It is now my default viewer.

This is an excellent app for viewing and scrolling through images. I take the SD card out of my Camera, copy the pictures and can scroll through all of the images quickly without having to close the window out to go to the next pic. Highly recommend for simple picture viewing!

Good app for simply viewing images in a file. Easy to use. A bit more functionality would make this a spectacular app. For example, being able to sort the slides when in “contact sheet” mode and then rename each file so that they would <Save> in the new, sorted order would be a home run, but like one reviewer said, for $2 why not?

This is the viewer I was looking for. It is intituitive to use, has a nice set of tool bars, and it works very nice. It also has a help tool if you need it. Buy it if you want a nice easy app to look at your photos by the folder. Fast and easy.

When I have a folder full of images to share or review this is perfect. There is no lag while the image loads and the program has enough presentation options to meet my needs. Simple, clean, and to the point. I have no problem paying a few bucks for a program that is this nice.

There are a couple of things that when noticed are absolutely grating. I am not sure why this cannot be fixed. First, when using the slideshow in ‘random’ it always opens up to the first picture in the selected folder. If it is random, it should select a random picture in the folder to launch the slide show. Second, it isn’t very random. Many times, it simply plays up to the first 5 or 6 photos in a row, rather than picking a random picture. Third, if you land on a picture you want to view and it times out and goes on to the next picture pressing the back button does not take you to the last displayed picture, it backs up to some other random picture - yet - following that with the forward button always takes you back to the picture you were just on…..just bizzar behavior. It should keep a temp journal of the current slideshow so that one can back up at least a few pictures to the last displayed photos. Drives me up a wall every time it happens, but, I haven’t found anything better or I would ditch this in a heartbeat.

Keyboard shortcuts anyone? Also hate that it changes destop spaces, and the scroll bars that don’t disappear when zoomed in. Gif support would also be nice as well.

I bought this specifically to open psd files, which it says it does. It acts like its opening them but it wont. Permissions or not so it has more limitations than advertised. Id like my $1.99 back so I can get cup of cheap coffee.

intuitive and easy to use — I’ve tried many image viewers — most are frustrating — many want to do lots of extra things that I don’t need — I just want to see my photos and browse thru them in an easy way, no hassle, no learning curve…. I was happy to find this one… simple is good

This is a snappy picture viewer. One thing I like about it is that it brings into view hundreds or thousands of photos almost instantly. What could be better is if the app would allow the user to “add” a folder of pictures once the app is already viewing one folder. Once you have one folder viewing pictures, adding another simply replaces the first one. It would be better if they showed together or one after the other.

Been using ImageViewer for a number of years and It works much like a Windows app where you can preview a whole album mat once. I don’t understand why apple does not offer this conveinant feature. However ImageViewer can be quite buggy sometimes and seems to open slowly on start up. Wish they would fix this problem so four stars.

All I wanted was a viewer that would take my various size photos and display them full screen sized to fit the screen. I then want to be able to swipe with either the magic mouse or trackpad left or right to go to the previous photo or the next. This app cannot do it. Worthless to me!

Decent image viewers. Keeps popping up and asking me to rate the app which is annoying.

Love all the new features. Now you can delete images easily from the menu or right click. Great way to view my photos. Love the thumbnail view, slide show and full screen. Shows all of the images in a folder instead of just one. Works great and does everything an image viewer should do. Way better than the other image viewers in the app store!!

I have tried many image or photo viewing programs in the past and was very happy to find this app. It can load thousands of photos in just a few seconds. They added ‘move to trash to delete images. I really like the layout, keyboard commands, and preferences. The interface is simple and it works great!

Love this app! Great way to view all of my photos and easier to use than any of the other image viewing apps. Looks great and now I can delete!
