Extended screen trouble

Overall I like this app. Way better than the mac’s preview. But when I tried to play slideshow on my secondary screen, the screen just went black after entering fullscreen. I usually work on my main screen while I let my kids to see picture slideshow on the secondary screen, but it just doesn’t work. 5 stars after you fix this.

Gets in the Way of my Workflow...

This app gets in the way of my workflow. It asks permission and sticks its logo in my face too often. I’m going to look for a nicer app that views photos.

works great, but useless on retina screens

Small, simple app, does exactly what it needs to do. Unfortunately, on my retina macbook, the app is useless, since it only shows some small part of my photos on a gray background. (To check that it’s really a retina issue, I set my screen to regular, non-retina mode, and it worked fine then)

new version is good.

everything is working fine and simple. one minus -> zoom function could be smoother.

Rating

this program is pestering me. I cannot use Preview as before because this program permanently shows up. Now I get the request for rating, I click on NOT NOW two photos later its back again and again and again now I make rating. Forget about that program it’s a pain in the neck.

It’s ok

It’s missing some key features. It has it’s advantages over Apple’s Preview; as such, I use both apps.

Thanks.

Would like this program to show gifs. That would add a star.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do

And what I expected from the description.

Great app

I have used this app for 18 months now, and it works beautifully on an enormous collection of images (over a million). It has never crashed, and is simple to use. Highly recommended.

Just like i look for

Perfect…I advice all.

Great image viewer

Simple reasonably priced fast image viewer - perfect for web developer!! I think it needs some improvements - plaese add suport for .ai , .eps, .svg and fonts.

non ci siamo

le miniature non sono dimensionabili, con un monitor grande sono troppo piccole Thumbnails are not scaleable, with a large monitor are not visibles

Good, basic viewer but...

STOP PESTERING ME TO REVIEW IT. In what universe is it acceptable to bother your paying customers with this crap every time they open the app?

full screen slide show the downer for this app

I was looking for a photo viewing application that would allow slide shows and manual advance to next image. While this app does that the slideshow is only full screen. this is a show stopper for me as when going through images I have other apps up noting the image. Seems like there should be a means to run slideshows without the app going full screen. Outside of that this is a simple to use image viewer that allows you to view a thumbnail view of single image view of the directory you are in.

Does Exactly What Its Name Says (and does it well)

Image Viewer is and, in my opinion should be, an image viewer—not an editor or librarian or anything else. As such, it loads fast and allows you to rapidly preview complete folder of pics (even sub-folders if you want). If I want to organize, I will tap my fingers waiting for Adobe Bridge to open. If I want to edit I will get a cup of coffee while iPhoto or Lightroom loads. But if I just want to view images quickly, Image View is my go to (and my default viewer for all image types). So, Abacus, please resist the temptation to add ever more features and keep Image Viewer lightweight. Having said that, a few interface improvements could help: - Allow zooming in with a mouse click, and zooming out with a CMD-Click - Why such non-intuitive keyboard shortcuts? Why not just I for info and S for slideshow, etc? - Not a fan of the separate info window. In Single image mode, just an info overlay (similar to Lightroom). In Thumbnail mode, a panel or info bar at the bottom. - An option to display filenames in thumbnail view could be useful. - Finally, I am guessing you do not want to add databasing features to the app, and I agree with this. But, if you could hook into the tagging function of File Handler (both read and write), that would be very helpful for those of us using the app to review images prior to post-processing. Having said that, this is one of my most used apps and is well worth the very minimal price.

Pretty good Photo Mechanic replacement

I’ve been using Photo Mechanic for years, mainly for quickly deleting crummy images from portrait sessions, but needed a replacement that wasn’t too expensive. (Photo Mechanic is $150) This app does the job quite well. I can easily flip through a folder of images, and quickly delete the bad ones. Wish I could just push delete instead of cmd-d, but that’s a small issue. If I could “mark” the best images or compare a couple side by side, this would be A+. At the price, however, I’m not complaining. It does what it does well, and for $1.99, what a deal.

Great app!! it doea all you want from it, in a very “windows” way

This app is very fast, responsive, never crashed on me so far. The full screen view is amazing, with tons of quick keys and options for power users, and a clean interfase for the general user. I don’t use any other viewer at all. Thank you for making great software!

Good replacement

Love the app, works fairly well. I was looking for a replacement app, for JustLooking, which i have used for years. So i stumbled across this app, read the reviews, and decided to try it. I am pleased. However, it need file association. Mskinh it a default program, doesn’t replace preview. I was looking for an image viewer and found it. It views and allows me to delete image files.. If it would come up as default viewer I would have rated it 5 stars.

Great

Great, so stop bothering me to rate this app

Simple, Perfect

Sick of the bloated photo viewers like iPhoto, I went looking for an easier, faster way. Photoscape X kept crashing on me. So far, this seems perfect. Resist the feature bloat some are asking for guys. KISS - Keep it simple stupid.
